Must-Have Requirements to Create a WA Connect Account

Before you create an account using WA Connect, ensure you have the following ready:

• A valid email address (linked to the domain of your website)
• A password (minimum 8 characters in length)
• A credit/debit card (to complete payment)

Must-Have Requirements to Create WhatsApp Cloud API

Before you create your WhatsApp API, ensure you have the following ready:

• A Facebook business portfolio
• A Facebook page (your WhatsApp account will be linked to this)
• A new number (can be purchased on WA Connect, must not be currently registered to a WhatsApp account)
• A credit/debit card (for WhatsApp Manager portal API billing)
• A bank account statement with the following details that must match your profile and WhatsApp name:
  • Business name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Email
  • Website
• A confirmed method of communication (between you and Meta)
• Verification documents (the legal business name must be used as the business portfolio name and on the verification documents)

What Classifies as a Verification Document:

• Certificate/Articles of Incorporation
• Business registration or license document
• Government-issued business tax document: This could include a tax certificate. Self-filed tax documents are not accepted.
• Business bank statement
• Utility bill: A utility bill is accepted only for business address and phone number. The legal business name must be on the utility bill. A utility bill is not an acceptable document for legal business name verification.
